Wood Craftsmen Association Morvan, chaired by Daniel Brizard, held its general assembly at the social center of Saulieu in the presence of its members but also to Anne-Catherine Loisier, Vice-Chair and Chair of the Morvan Park the Forest Charter.
Since 2005, twenty companies of the wood craft involved in actions under the Charter of the Morvan forest. With the assistance of the Regional Natural Park of Morvan and Aprovalbois, they reinforce and develop the network of companies craft wood processing. Following on earlier work, they wished to get together formally in the woods Morvan Builders Association aims to facilitate and organize the processing of wood Morvan by local businesses. This involves marketing and promoting their products in the Morvan and beyond. The aim is also to provide each mutual support for example through sharing of technical tools, administrative, etc..
Future actions
The association wants to communicate and make known its members by publishing a document that locates wood processing companies and describe their activities. But it also works on the mark to be allocated to park wood crafts (carpentry and furniture) would be assured of a quality product that respects the environment and land values.
Training courses for cabinet makers, buying a briquette press, mill and visit sites, study tour, as many projects the association wants to complete in order to make themselves known and to discover a facet of Morvan and know-how everything around woodworking.
