The Battle of Verdun commemorated

The Battle of Verdun was commemorated on Monday night at the War Memorial 1914-1918 by the Municipality of Saulieu and veterans, in the presence of a large number of flagpoles, firefighters and musicians from the Clique .
On this occasion, Guy Porte, president of Remembrance French, recalled the most deadly fighting that lasted from February to December 1916 and symbolize French resistance to the German offensive. A tribute was paid to 369 000 wounded and killed during the battle.
